Xyloguard, Guard H and Guard H Gel are two nasal sprays and one auto mix syringe delivered gel intended for use to clean the nose of mucous, allergens, dust and potentially infectious microbes, including bacteria, viruses and yeasts. The sprays are formulated to work together.

USES: Our dual nasal spray system is recommended for allergies, pollen, dust and polluted air contamination, congestion, nasal congestion, sinusitis, dry nasal passages, rhinitis, septal deviations, restricted nasal opening, post nasal drip, snoring and as an adjunct to sleep apnea care such as CPAP use and oral sleep appliances. THOUGHTS ON THE WORD "NATURAL":
While we all strive for natural products, there are some who believe any product labeled with the word “natural” must be good for you. This is a problematic belief due to the fact that many so-called “natural”, and even organically grown natural products, are packed with adverse chemicals and properties that are harmful to our bodies. For example, some very popular mouth rinses labeled as “natural” have very acidic pH levels of 3 or even lower pH levels. This low pH level can possibly erode teeth enamel, among other unwanted effects. Our ingredients and products are thoroughly vetted science, as-well-as, methodically thought out and calculated optimal therapeutic index values.
ABOUT OUR INGREDIENTS:
We considered using aloe Vera extract for its ability to sooth the nasal mucosa but research has shown in this concentrated form of use, many unwanted chemicals and free radicals in aloe Vera could outweigh its benefits for this particular way of using it. We therefore opted to place known safe and proven products instead. We know these products, which are related to natural sources and often combined in products to other natural elements found in aloe Vera, are safe and effective bacteriostatic (bacterial inhibiting) ingredients with many other beneficial properties. Here is an overview of our product ingredients.
Our step 1: XYLITOL is a natural 5 carbon sugar shown to be antiviral and antibacterial, having multiple benefits to users. It has been shown to help control tooth decay in children, increase calcium uptake in the enamel of teeth, lower ear infection rates, inactivate viruses and bacteria, moisturize and clean nasal passages and improve the flow of air through the nose.
Our step 2: Hypochlorous rinse can be used separately but is formulated to enhance the step 1 Xylitol rinse and is designed to be used with it. This nasal rinse product will be found nowhere else in a combined step rinse protocol like we have at USA-Guard. This is why it is the perfect step 2 rinse to complement the Xyloguard rinse of step 1.
In our H Guard hypochlorous acid (HOCL) rinse, (The term “acid” should be thought of in terms like the popular hyaluronic acid used in so many popular skin products that is good for tissues.) It is actually the chemical made within our own white blood cells to kill invading bacteria, viruses and yeasts. It is also anti inflammatory, which means that it lowers inflammation and pain. This product has shown evidence on CT scans to shrink swollen turbinates in the nose and therefore increases the free flowing of air. Better nasal breathing can release beneficial nitric oxide from the sinuses when we breath through the nose. Patients are reporting a lowering of post nasal drip and reduced snoring noises. It is well known that nasal breathing is healthier for you than mouth breathing. In addition to this, our HOCL is made in a unique manner that allows it to avoid leaving a salty film on surfaces it comes in contact with and it keeps its potency over long periods of time. The reason our HOCL has this property is because it is not made from electrolysis of saline water like other companies have to do it.
Knowing the individual actions of these ingredients is helpful, but remember, they must be in the right proportions and formulations and tailored to the purpose for which they will be used. They must conform to precise science. We have meticulously researched those proportions, purposes and formulations for optimal effectiveness. HOW OFTEN TO USE THE RINSES:
It is very important that you do these sprays every day, 3 - 4 times a day because the airway opening effect builds over time and if you skip a day, that process has to start all over again. We do also recommend that if you awake at night for a bathroom break, that you use the two sprays once again.
HOW TO USE THE RINSES:
First: Step 1 - spray 2 sprays of the xylitol rinse in each nostril at least 3-4 times per day. Direct the spray vertically up into the nostrils.
Second: Step 2 - and immediately following Step 1: spray with 2 sprays of Guard H in each nostril 3 to 4 times per day. The step 2 HOCL spray should be directed straight or horizontal into the nose at the bottom of the nasal passage, not vertically up into the nostril.
*If possible use the xylitol spray before the hypochlorous acid spray. They are specially designed to work together
*The hypochlorous acid spray is powerful and may have a slight sting after spraying. This is normal in about 5% to 10% of people and should not be of any alarm. It quickly goes away. The use of the xylitol spray before using the hypochlorous acid spray should attenuate or eliminate this sensation. Also direct the spray toward the bottom of the nostril horizontally, not vertically up into the nose.
